SOAP

What is soap??

• most soaps are water-soluble subtances which either sodium salts of fatty acids or potassium salts of fatty acids
• the fatty acids are those of carboxyclic acids
• most of them have long chain of carbon atoms
• each carboxyclic acid chain contains between 12 and 8 carbon atoms
• general formula for soap is

a) RCOONa    --->  sodium soap

b) RCOOK       --->  potassium soap

•  R stands for alkyl groups of carbon chain

Allah berfirman dalam surah al-Jathiyah ayat 20, “Al-Quran ini adalah pedoman bagi manusia, petunjuk dan rahmat bagi kaum yang meyakini.”
